Neolithic Imagery from Ancient Anatolia
As I awaited official permission from the Turkish government to work on the installation Turning in Time I was haunted by the imagery painted on the walls of the houses at the site. In response to these images and perhaps to help me learn more about their mythic meaning, I made a series of small prints (24 x 15) and bound them. The resultant book has the rough feel of the plaster walls of the Neolithic houses and the texture and mystery of the original paintings. We can never know what these images meant to their Neolithic makers, however, I was imbued with a sacred sense as I worked these very non precious marks.

The book is not for sale, however, the last five prints shown here have been printed in an edition of four. They are available singly or in a portfolio containing all five images.
